Blue Card Clause Samples
Blue Card. (a) The Parties acknowledge that the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000, provides that Teacher Aides must hold a current Blue Card to work in a school environment.
(b) In accordance with this requirement, employees are required to pay their initial Blue Card application fee, however the Department will pay the ongoing renewal costs.
Blue Card. 7.7.1 Where a comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety Induction Programme does not exist, prior to a transport worker commencing work with the Company, the Company will ensure that the transport worker has successfully undertaken a Blue Card induction programme. Where a comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety Induction programme does not exist, existing employees shall undertake a Blue Card induction programme prior to the expiry of this Heads of Agreement.
7.7.2 In this clause, an induction programme shall be considered "comprehensive" if the contents of the programme provides at least an equivalent level of instruction to the Blue Card. To avoid doubt an "equivalent level" will be demonstrated if the induction programme provides for comparable training in respect of the contents of the Blue Card induction programme.
7.7.3 Provided that:
Blue Card. Prior to being engaged by the Company, all new Sub-Contractors must have completed an accredited "Fatigue Management" course and be in the possession of a "Blue card"
Blue Card. This is clause 13.13 of the current agreement. No change.
Blue Card. The Company and employees agree to participate in the induction and training process to achieve individual Blue Card or equivalent accreditation. Continued Company participation relies on the Blue Card’s sole purpose as being a skill based training passport related to Occupational Health & Safety and that it gains accreditation with Workcover and widespread community acceptance and also to enhance specific site induction.
Blue Card. This clause reflects the training arrangements that were in place at the employer’s business at the time of commencement of the Agreement. During the life of the Agreement, the parties will compare the in-house training arrangements against the transport industry “Blue Card” system to determine whether the in-house system represents an equivalent level of training. In any area where the in-house system is determined to fall short of the Blue Card system, and where considered appropriate, the parties shall work to raise the standard of the in-house system to the Blue Card level.
Blue Card. In addition to existing training provisions, the parties have agreed on one item.
6.1.1. Where a comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety Induction Programme does not exist, prior to a transport worker commencing work with the Company, the Company will ensure that the transport worker has successfully undertaken a Blue Card induction programme. Where a comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety Induction programme does not exist, existing employees shall undertake a Blue Card induction programme prior to the expiry of this Heads of Agreement.
6.1.2. Provided that:
i. Inductees or employees shall be paid at their ordinary rate of pay for attendance at the Blue Card induction programme up to a maximum of four hours, and;
ii. An inductee who cannot complete the Blue Card induction programme within one day's ordinary hours shall be deemed unsuitable for employment, and;
iii. Sub-clause 6.1.2(ii) shall not apply to existing employees.
Blue Card. By entering this agreement the Employer agrees to the training of its warehouse and distribution Employees in Occupational Health and Safety as provided by a licensed Blue Card provider. Blue Card certification will be issued to eligible Employees at the Employers expense provided that Certificate 1 (one) level training in warehousing or distribution has been completed by the Employee. The Employer agrees to ensure that certificate 1 (one) level training in warehousing and distribution is made available to all eligible Employees.
