The BIRD CONTROL clause establishes requirements and procedures for managing and mitigating the presence of birds on a property or worksite. Typically, this clause outlines the responsibilities of the parties involved—such as the contractor or property owner—to implement measures like installing deterrents, conducting regular inspections, or removing nests in compliance with relevant wildlife regulations. Its core practical function is to prevent damage, health hazards, or operational disruptions caused by birds, thereby ensuring safety, compliance, and the smooth progress of work activities.
Bird Control. Provide a comprehensive strategy that aims to manage birds that cause damage or conflict with human activities in an environmentally sensitive manner. IPM services provided by Bidder must include but are not limited to: • Understand the wildlife species, their life cycle, and their needs. • Monitor to keep track of bird activity and damage. • Using habitat modification and other methods to prevent birds from becoming a nuisance. • Control by using a combination of various techniques like deterrents, exclusion, repulsion, or removal, while ensuring compliance with wildlife protection laws. o Wildlife Control Officer (WCO) – certified by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) in accordance with WAC ▇▇▇-▇▇▇-▇▇▇. o Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918 | U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (▇▇▇.▇▇▇)
Bird Control. All control measures taken to protect the LESSEE’s crops from damage by birds shall be included in the LESSEE’s Annual Pest Management Plan and shall be approved in advance by the NAVFAC SW POC. No chemical avian pesticides will be allowed on the LEASED PROPERTY. The LESSEE’s Annual Pest Management Plan shall include, but need not be limited to, the bird species, control measures, and estimated take of each species. Measures taken to protect crops from bird damage shall be done in accordance with all Federal, State, and County regulations that may apply.
Bird Control. All control measures (chemical and non-chemical) taken to protect the LESSEE’s nursery stock from damage by birds shall be included in the LESSEE’s Annual Plan and shall be approved in advance by the IPMC and the MCAS Miramar Environmental Management Department. No control measures shall be done without approval from the IPMC and STATION Botanist. No chemical avian pesticides will be allowed on the LEASED PROPERTY. The LESSEE’s Annual Plan shall include, but need not be limited to, the bird species, control measures, and estimated “take” of each species.
