Common use of Benefits Joint Committee Clause in Contracts

Benefits Joint Committee. The Union and the Employers will establish a Benefits Joint Committee to review the provision of health & welfare and pension benefits to employees covered by this Agreement. This Committee is charged with the critical responsibility of ensuring that employee health & welfare and pension benefits are made available to employees covered by the terms of the ABF NMFA in a secure and cost efficient manner. It is anticipated that this Committee shall serve as a source of continuing study regarding the most efficient manner of providing benefits to covered employees. The Union and the Employers will establish procedures for the operation of this Committee. The Committee will make periodic reports and recommendations to TNFINC and TMI the Employer.
