BASIC WORKWEEK AND OVERTIME. Section 1. With the exception of continuous operations and refuse collection activities, the normal workweek shall consist of five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour workdays and forty (40) hours per week which may be interrupted by an unpaid lunch period. The normal workweek shall consist of forty (40) hours, however the parties, by mutual agreement, may agree to work schedules in specific work units that may vary from the normal five (5) consecutive day, eight (8) hours per day workweek.
