Basic Legal Services. For the following basic legal services provided to LAFCO, BB&K will ▇▇▇▇ the blended hourly rate of Two Hundred Dollars ($200) per hour for all attorneys, and One Hundred Thirty Dollars ($130) per hour for paralegals and law clerks: • Routine legal advice, telephone and personal consultations with members of LAFCO and LAFCO staff. • Review and/or preparation of staff reports, ordinances, resolutions, agreements, contracts, forms, notices, certificates, deeds, leases, and other documents required by LAFCO. • Attendance when requested at LAFCO regular and special meetings. • Attend meetings with staff when necessary.
Basic Legal Services. “Basic Legal Services” means those Legal Services, including the preparation of appropriate legal correspondence, required by the District in the normal day-to-day operation of the District as follows:
Basic Legal Services. For Basic City Attorney Services, CITY shall pay to BWS $295 per hour. Paralegals shall be billed at a rate of $155 per hour.
Basic Legal Services. BWS will perform the following "Basic Legal Services" to serve CITY: (1) Attendance at meetings of the Capitola City Council (including regular sessions, closed sessions, special meetings, and as needed work sessions). (2) Attendance, as needed and as directed by the City Council and/or City Manager, at meetings of the City's Commissions or other City committees. (3) Review and/or preparation of ordinances, resolutions, orders, agreements, forms, notices, declarations, certificates, deeds, leases, and other documents as required by CITY. (4) Consultation with the City Council and CITY staff as needed, as well as rendering of legal advice and opinions concerning legal matters that affect the City, including new legislation and court decisions. Performance of research and interpretation of laws, court decisions, and other legal authorities in order to prepare legal opinions and to advise the Council and management staff on legal matters pertaining to CITY operations. (5) Legal work pertaining to routine issues related to property acquisition, zoning, property disposal, public improvements, public rights-of-way and easements, and matters relating to public utilities. (6) Coordination and management of the work of outside legal counsel as needed and as directed by the City Council and/or City Manager. (7) Office hours at City Hall as requested by the City Council or City Manager.
Basic Legal Services. Attorney will attend and render legal advice as provided by the Administrative Rules of the District at all regularly scheduled School Board meetings and executive session meetings as may be scheduled from time to time, and shall attend up to two (2) special meetings and two (2) workshops during the Term.1 Attorney shall also render verbal, telephonic or written legal advice when requested by members of the Board, the Superintendent and such school officials, administrators, principals and other District employees as may be authorized to request such advice by the Board or by the Superintendent. Attorney shall also perform basic legal research and shall prepare such resolutions, contracts, Board policies, memoranda and other legal documents in support of the delivery of the Basic Legal Services as may be required. Attorney shall confer with other attorneys representing the District and shall report regularly on other matters regarding teacher dismissal, litigation, fully funded claims and lawsuits covered by the District's insurance policies, workers' compensation matters and other legal disputes in those cases in which the District’s insurance carriers are representing it and are liable for paying settlements, judgments, fines, costs and/or attorney fees. Attorney shall also attend those meetings of the Florida School Board Attorneys Association or Florida School Board Association to as his practice shall allow and shall, if requested, conduct workshops relative to legal issues as may be requested by the Board or Superintendent.
