Basic Cost Clause Samples
The 'Basic Cost' clause defines the fundamental expenses that form the baseline for calculating payments or reimbursements under a contract. It typically outlines which costs are included—such as labor, materials, and equipment—and may specify how these costs are to be documented or verified. By clearly establishing what constitutes the basic cost, this clause ensures transparency and prevents disputes over which expenses are eligible for compensation, thereby facilitating smooth financial administration of the contract.
