Common use of Basic Agreement Clause in Contracts

Basic Agreement. A. The City and the Union agree that this document and all rules, regulations, fiscal procedures, working conditions and departmental procedures of the police department currently in effect on the effective date of this Agreement, sets forth the basic Agreement between the parties. B. The City and the Union agree that during negotiations, each party had the right to make proposals with respect to all negotiable matters. C. The City and the Union agree that neither party will require the other party to engage in further collective bargaining, unless expressly required elsewhere in this Agreement. Otherwise this Agreement shall be binding on the parties, and successors and assignees of the parties hereto during the term of this contract, and no provisions, terms or obligations herein contained shall be modified, altered or changed in any respect except by mutual Agreement of the parties in writing.
