ARTICLE LEAVE. This Article shall apply to Long Term long-term Occasional Teachers only. Upon application in writing, a Long Term OccasionalTeacher long-term Occasional Teacher who is pregnant and who has been employed by the Board at least thirteen (13) weeks before the expected birth date is entitled to a leave of absence of at least seventeenseventeen (17) weeks. Seniority and credit for teaching experience shall continue to accumulate during such leave. It is understood that these entitlements would be calculated according to the expected duration of the long-term Occasional Teacher's assignment had the long-term Occasional Teacher not taken pregnancy leave.
