The Employer is a member of the Baking Industry Association of Victoria (BIAV) which is an industry specific Employer Association and has authorised the Association’s Industrial Officer to facilitate the making of the agreement.

(“the Act”) The agreement has been entered into on the basis of equity and fair mindedness to both the Employer employer and the Employeesemployees. In abiding by the terms of the agreement each party is extending to the other party a fair go. It is a condition of this agreement that no employee will have his or her base rate of pay reduced on entering into this agreement. The prescribed rates in the agreement are minimum rates and the agreement makes provision provides for wage increases over the life of the agreement. The Security Employees (Victoria) Award 1998 (“the Award”) is the Federal Award in the State of Victoria that has been the designated award for certifying agreements before the Australian Industrial Relations Commission ( “AIRC ”) immediately prior to 27th. March 2006 in relation to this sector of the security industry.

(“the Act”) This Agreement replaces all previous agreements, the last of which was “The Paterson’s 2004-2007 Agreement” which was certified by the Australian Industrial Relations Commission on 22nd.November 2004 and had a nominal expiry date of 15th. September 2007. The agreement has been entered into on the basis of equity and fair mindedness to both the Employer and the Employees. In abiding by the terms of the agreement each party is extending to the other party a fair go. It is a condition of this agreement that no employee will have his or her base rate of pay reduced on entering into this agreementnor will there be forfeiture of allowances. The prescribed rates in the agreement are minimum rates and the agreement makes provision for wage increases over the life of the agreement. The Pastrycooks (Victoria) Award 1999 is the Federal Award in the State of Victoria that has been the designated award for certifying agreements pertaining to the Pastry-cooking industry before the Australian Industrial Relations Commission (“AIRC”) immediately prior to 27th March 2006 and has also been the designated award applicable to previous certified agreements entered into between the Employer and its employees in relation to its establishments engaged in work relating to, or incidental to the making, baking and selling of pies, cakes,and pastry products. (AW792620}. The Employer, as in the past, has engaged its Industrial Relations consultant ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ to facilitate the making of the agreement. As with past agreements the employees have been encouraged to consult with whomsoever they wish.
