Apprentice Pay Rates. An apprentice means a person who is covered by an apprentice agreement with the Phoenix Painters and Decorators Apprentice Program and registered with the State Registration Agency. An apprentice shall perform any work assigned as outlined in Article V of this agreement under the supervision of a journeyman taper. If for any reason the apprenticeship agreement is cancelled by the Apprenticeship Program, the apprentice must be immediately reclassified as a pre-apprentice, new journeyman, or journeyman in accordance with the current wage rate for these classifications.
