Apprentice Employment. 8.5.1 Full time apprentices under this agreement are engaged for the purpose of undertaking a course of training specified in a Vocational Training Order approved by the Commissioner for Vocational Training.

Apprentice Employment. Any Em- ployer assigned an apprentice and said apprentice is in- dentured to said Employer by the Joint Apprenticeship Committee shall keep him at work at the trade for not less than ten (10) months, in each year, (this period of ten months shall include the time spent by the Appren- xxxx in concentrated training) except in case of strikes, lockout, sickness or other unavoidable causes, or by ac- tion of the Joint Apprenticeship Committee.
Apprentice Employment. Full time apprentices under this agreement are engaged for the purpose of undertaking a course of training specified in a Vocational Training Order approved by the Commissioner for Vocational Training. Employment as an apprentice under this agreement shall commence when the relevant training agreement, has been signed by the apprentice and the company, and lodged for registration with the Commissioner for Vocational Training. Persons engaged as apprentices shall be required to complete a period of three months probation on commencement of employment with the Company. Employment under this agreement shall cease when the apprentice completes the period of the apprenticeship, and other requirements, specified in the Vocational Training Order applicable to the course undertaken. Where the apprentice completes the qualification requirements earlier than the time specified in the Vocational Training Order then the apprenticeship may be concluded by mutual agreement. The Company shall ensure that the apprentice is permitted to attend the training course or program provided for in the Vocational Training Order. The company shall also ensure that the trainee receives appropriately supervised on-the-job training in accordance with the Vocational Training Order during the apprenticeship period. Full time apprentices shall be entitled to the applicable rate of pay specified in Appendix I(c) of this Agreement, in addition to the tool allowance specified in Appendix 1(d).
Apprentice Employment. Contractor or Subcontractor employing tradesmen in any apprenticeable occupation shall comply with the provisions of Section 1777.5 and 1777.6 of the Labor Code in the employment of apprentices.

  • Outside Employment Employees may engage in other employment outside of their State working hours so long as the outside employment does not involve a conflict of interest with their State employment. Whenever it appears that any such outside employment might constitute a conflict of interest, the employee is expected to consult with his/her appointing authority or other appropriate agency representative prior to engaging in such outside employment. Employees of agencies where there are established procedures concerning outside employment for the purpose of insuring compliance with specific statutory restrictions on outside employment are expected to comply with such procedures.

  • TEACHER EMPLOYMENT 8.1. The Board agrees to employ only those teachers who hold at least a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and are certifiable by the New Hampshire State Department of Education. This provision shall not apply in the instance where the availability of personnel is critical and an appropriate waiver is granted by the New Hampshire State Department of Education.

  • Re-employment An employee who resigns her position and within sixty (60) days is re-employed, shall be granted a leave of absence without pay covering those days absent and shall retain all previous rights in relation to seniority and other fringe benefits subject to any benefit plan eligibility requirements.

  • Summer Employment 26.1 In selecting teaching staffs for summer programs, employment shall be offered to teachers who are certified and “Highly Qualified” in the subject area(s).

  • During Employment During Employee’s employment hereunder, Employee shall not engage, directly or indirectly, as an employee, officer, director, partner, manager, consultant, agent, owner (other than a minority shareholder or other equity interest of not more than 1% of a company whose equity interests are publicly traded on a nationally recognized stock exchange or over-the-counter) or in any other capacity, in any competition with the Company or any of its subsidiaries.

  • Probationary Employment 4.2.1(a) An employer may initially engage a full-time or part-time employee for a period of probationary employment for the purpose of determining the employee's suitability for ongoing employment. The employee must be advised in advance that the employment is probationary and of the duration of the probation which can be up to but not exceed three months.
