Appeal Process. 14.4.1 An employee has the right to appeal a recommendation for disciplinary action. The District may use a hearing officer rather than the Board of Education to hear disciplinary grievances. Such appeal may be initiated by the employee by filing a written request on a form provided by the District with the Employee Relations Representative within five (5) working days of the issuance of such a recommendation. 14.4.2 Failure to file such a written request shall waive the right of appeal.
