Common use of Annual Practising Certificate Clause in Contracts

Annual Practising Certificate. Where an anaesthetic technician is required by law to hold an annual practising certificate or equivalent, the cost of the certificate shall be met by the employer provided that: (a) It must be a statutory requirement that a current certificate be held for the performance of duties. (b) The employee must be engaged in duties for which the holding of a certificate is a requirement. (c) Any payment will be offset to the extent that the employee has received a reimbursement from another employer. (d) The employer will reimburse professional fees to the NZATS to a maximum of $120 (unless a different amount is specified in Schedule Two) (e) Where the employer agrees, an individual may join an alternate professional association that is agreed as relevant to their practice and clinical setting and may be reimbursed the cost of membership for the equivalent professional association. (f) Where the employer requires a current employee to become a member of a specific professional association, then the cost of that membership shall be fully reimbursable.
