Common use of An Associate Clause in Contracts

An Associate. Teaching Professor who is being considered for a continuing appointment may also apply for promotion to Teaching Professor with tenure under section 25, but the Faculty Member will only be considered for promotion if the Faculty Member requests it. An Associate Teaching Professor may be awarded a continuing appointment even if their application for Teaching Professor with tenure is unsuccessful and may apply again for promotion in a later year.
