AFLAC. The City of Porterville has contracted with Aflac to provide employee funded supplemental insurance designed to help maintain some income in the event that an employee experiences a long- term illness or non-work related injury. (Approved on September 21, 2004 via minute order 05- 092104)
AFLAC. The City makes available to all permanent and probationary employees a group of supplemental insurance policies offered by AFLAC. Upon election, the employee shall pay policy premiums through payroll deduction.
AFLAC. AFLAC. The parties agreed to have the benefit services provided by AFLAC available to the unit’s members as long as the administration of such services is at no cost to the City.
AFLAC. The District will allow AFLAC premiums to be deducted from payroll pre-tax.
AFLAC. Eligible full-time faculty may enroll in Aflac supplemental insurance. In the event of a serious accident or illness, Aflac provides cash benefits to help pay for out-of-pocket costs and loss of income. Aflac pays cash benefits regardless of any other insurance coverage in place. Premiums are fully paid by the employee and made via payroll deduction. Coverage for eligible full-time faculty members is the first of the month following the date of hire.
AFLAC. Employees will be allowed to participate in the same AFLAC insurance plan offered to non-union employees with the employee paying the administrative cost for participation.
