Acting Temporary Higher Capacity. Any employee who is temporarily required to accept substantially the responsibilities and carry out the duties of a position in a higher classification for more than four (4) consecutive hours in a day, shall be paid for the period worked in the higher classification and shall receive an additional eight percent (8%) above their normal classification rate during the period so worked. If the temporary assignment is to a position in a lower classification, the employee will continue to be paid at the employee’s regular rate.
Acting Temporary Higher Capacity. A qualified employee being assigned work of a higher job class level shall receive the pay rate of that job classification. (An employee assigned work at a lower pay rate shall maintain his regular rate of pay.)
