Common use of ACADEMIC YEAR POSITIONS Clause in Contracts

ACADEMIC YEAR POSITIONS. Section 1. The university’s chief human resources officer or designee may designate positions involving teaching or other school activity as academic year positions. To the extent practicable, the employment term of such positions will conform generally to the school or academic year. The designation of such positions does not preclude the extension of employment, either full or part-time, into the period between two (2) school or academic years. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the initial designation shall be only those positions customarily working during the academic year.
