Common use of Absent an emergency Clause in Contracts

Absent an emergency. the employee shall enter the personal leave request into AESOP at least seventy-two (72) hours in advance of taking a personal leave day. The AESOP submission shall state the reason for the employee’s use of personal leave. Falsification of such statement shall be grounds for disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. In an emergency, the employee shall contact their immediate supervisor and shall state the nature of the emergency that requires the use of personal leave.
