Common use of A D.E.C Clause in Contracts

A D.E.C. E. declared surplus to a school in the Spring Staffing Pr ocess shall be notified by the principal. This notification shall be provided within one week following receipt by the principal of the staffing allocation for the next school year. Where a D.E.C.E. is declared surplus to a school during the initial stages of spring staffing, and where a position becomes available at that school prior to the completion of the Spring Staffing Process, the D.E.C.E. shall be entitled to remain in the school.
