01c Alcohol Consumption, Paraphernalia, and Other Use. The use of alcoholic beverages must comply with California State Law and is limited to those persons 21 years of age or older. Alcoholic beverages may not be consumed in public areas (any area outside student rooms). Returning to the residence community under the influence of alcohol or in a manner that negatively affects the community is prohibited. Alcohol paraphernalia (empty bottles, cans, shot glasses, cocktail shakers, beer bongs, etc.) is not permitted. Drinking games (water pong, King’s Cup, etc.) are considered alcohol paraphernalia and promote irresponsible drinking behavior and therefore are not permitted in the residential community unless it is a recognized educational program sponsored by the University or its affiliates. Residents under the age of 21 are not permitted to host guests of any age who are in possession of alcohol. Residents over the age of 21 are not allowed to have alcohol in the presence of anyone under the age of 21.
