01- Recognition. The Board Of Education of The Maumee City School District, hereinafter referred to as the “Employer”, recognizes the Ohio Association of Public School Employees/American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, Local #240, hereinafter referred to as the “Union,” as the sole and exclusive bargaining representative for all full time and regular part-time employees in the following positions or classifications: Buildings and grounds personnel Classroom assistants/monitors personnel Clerical personnel Food service personnel Technology personnel Transportation personnel Personnel excluded include the following: Central office employees including the payroll and accounts payable clerks, receptionist, secretary to the superintendent, secretary to the assistant superintendent, secretary to the director of curriculum and the buildings and grounds/transportation secretary. No additional clerical or clerk positions may be created and filled by the board that will be excluded from the bargaining unit without the written permission of the Union.
