Activation. This process will not be described in detail, since there is little interaction between the FSP and DSO in this process today. It is included to provide the reader with an end-to-end view. The goal of this process is to deliver flexibility and to register the activation in the Flex Register to calculate and ultimately settle the energy delivered. Depending on the product design of the flexibility product, the FSP reacts to a certain signal to start delivering the flexibility service. This could be a direct signal by the FRP, a change in grid frequency, a change in market price… The activation is registered afterwards in the Flex Register.
