Xeriscaping definition

Xeriscaping means a creative, natural approach for constructing low maintenance, water efficient, and sustainable landscapes. It includes designing the landscape using native plants and drought-tolerant species which require less water and chemicals;
Xeriscaping means a process of landscaping that reduces or eliminates the need for supplemental water from irrigation by selecting plants whose natural requirements are appropriate to the local climate are emphasized and care is taken to avoid losing water to evaporation and runoff.
