Vehicle reference coordinate system definition

Vehicle reference coordinate system means an orthogonal coordinate system consisting of three axes; a longitudinal axis (X), a transverse axis (Y), and a vertical axis (Z). X and Y are in the same horizontal plane and Z passes through the intersection of X and Y. The X-axis is parallel to the longitudinal centre plane of the vehicle.

[The vehicle reference coordinate system is established relative to at least three fiducial marks, sufficiently separated in the longitudinal (X), transverse (Y) and vertical (Z) axes to enable accurate alignment with the measurement axes of a coordinate measurement machine].
