Retirement means, for purposes of this Agreement, the Participant’s “separation from service” (within the meaning of Section 1.409A-1(h) of the U.S. Treasury Regulations, applying the default terms thereof) on or after age 55 with at least five (5) years of service, as determined under the Employees’ Retirement Plan of Universal Leaf Tobacco Company, Incorporated and Designated Affiliated Companies as in effect at the time of such separation.
For purposes of this Agreement, “retirement” means, for purposes of this Agreement, early, normal or late retirement as defined in the Employees’ Retirement Plan of Universal Leaf Tobacco Company, Incorporated and Designated Affiliated Companies.
Service to be determined in the same manner as provided in the Employees’ Retirement Plan of Universal Leaf Tobacco Company, Incorporated as in effect at the time of such separation.
