Term Staff definition

Term Staff is a person who has been hired for a defined period of time up to one (1) year but is not filling another Employee’s position. Such persons shall not remain in a term position for more than one (1) year without consultation and agreement with the Union. Term Employees are not covered by the Collective Agreement.

Examples of Term Staff in a sentence

  • Subject to Clause 19.6, the provisions of Clause 15.4, Severance for Fixed Term Staff Members will apply.

  • Credential candidates in the University SED program who are working under a Short Term Staff Permit will follow the guidelines outlined in the MOU for Intern Teachers.

  • An amount of $2,400 will be paid per year to mentor two teachers who have either an Intern permit, a Short Term Staff Permit (STSP) or a Provisional Intern Permit (PIP).

  • Except in the event of a Short Term Staff assignment, Contractor will provide Professionals with an assignment with a minimum of two (2) weeks in duration based on County’s staffing needs.

  • Any teacher hired under a Variable Term Waiver, Short Term Staff Permit, Provisional Intern Permit, or Intern Credential during the school year shall be placed at Step 1, Column 1 (BA+30) or Step 1 of the appropriate column.

  • Fixed Term Staff will be eligible for 5 days’ sick leave upon completion of 6 months’ service and are entitled to a further 5 days sick leave in each subsequent 12 month period, or, if the fixed term is for a period of 12 months, then the employee will be entitled to 10 days sick leave upon commencing service.

  • A Staff Member appointed on a Curtin Research Contract of 50% or more service fraction will be entitled to superannuation contributions to UniSuper Fund Administrator of 17% employer contribution (inclusive of GSG amount) from the date of commencement of their Curtin Research Contract, irrespective of the length of contract.A Staff Member appointed on Curtin Research Contracts will have the same entitlements as a Fixed Term Staff Member.

  • Fixed term Staff Members will be entitled to severance as prescribed in Clauseclause 14.4, Severance for Fixed Term Staff Members but will not be entitled to redundancy as prescribed in Clauseclause 645, Redeployment and Redundancy (Profession and General Staff) and Clauseclause 656, Redeployment and Redundancy (Academic Staff).

  • All staff employed under a Fixed Term Staff Contract shall receive the benefits of the provisions within this Agreement.

  • Where eligible, the Employee is entitled to participate in Term Staff Benefits.

Related to Term Staff

  • MEDICAL STAFF LEADER means any Medical Staff Officer, department chair, section chief, and committee chair.

  • Medical Staff means all physicians, dentists, oral surgeons, and podiatrists who have been appointed to the Medical Staff by the Board.

  • Program Staff means a person employed by the local program who is knowledgeable in a particular subject matter. For the purposes of the complaint process, program staff may not be involved in a specific complaint prior to the receipt of the complaint or the request for a review of the complaint.

  • Clinical staff means persons who work in a hospital whose duties include the personal care or medical treatment of patients. “Clinical staff” includes, but is not limited to, credentialed physicians, physicians’ assistants, nurses, nursing aides, medical technicians, therapists, and other individuals involved in the personal care or medical treatment of patients.

  • Project Staff means the personnel of Contractor and Subcontractors who provide the Work.
