Temporary Foreign Worker or “TFW” refers to any foreign national who seeks to engage in work in Canada. “Temporary Foreign Worker Program” or “TFWP” refers to the functions under the IRPA and the IRPR that allow the Government of Canada to authorize foreign nationals to work temporarily in Canada.

• To support these processes, as long as a foreign recruitment initiative is in place, a Joint Temporary Foreign Worker Committee will operate.
