Temporary Foreign Worker definition

Temporary Foreign Worker or “TFW” refers to any foreign national who seeks to engage in work in Canada. “Temporary Foreign Worker Program” or “TFWP” refers to the functions under the IRPA and the IRPR that allow the Government of Canada to authorize foreign nationals to work temporarily in Canada.
Temporary Foreign Worker has the meaning set out in Schedule 2 [General Conditions]; “Temporary Stockpile Payment” has the meaning set out in Schedule 11 [Prices and Payment];
Temporary Foreign Worker has the meaning set out in Section 6.19(b)(v) of this Schedule 2 [General Conditions];

  • Temporary worker means a person who is furnished to you to substitute for a permanent "employee" on leave or to meet seasonal or short-term workload conditions.
