Technical education program definition

Technical education program means a post high school program of not more than two years' duration that is planned and intended to prepare students to pursue employment or improve technical knowledge in careers generally but not exclusively at the semiprofessional level. Technical education programs include, but are not limited to, programs in the technologies of business, engineering, health, natural science, and public service and are programs which, after two years of academic study, result in proportionate recognition of academic achievement through receipt of an associate degree.
