Steadily employed, definition

Steadily employed, as used here, means employed for at least one year before childbirth. Id. The Act only covers employees who have worked for their employer for twelve months and 1250 hours in the previous year, and whose employer has fifty or more employees working within seventy-five miles of the worksite. 29 U.S.C. §§ 2611(2)(A)-(B).

Examples of Steadily employed, in a sentence

  • Steadily employed members of the bargaining unit shall be entitled sick leave as follows: twelve (12) month employees shall receive twelve (12) days per year, eleven (11) month employees shall receive eleven (11) days per year and ten (10) month employees shall receive ten (10) days per year.

  • Steadily employed members of the support staff shall be entitled sick leave as follows: twelve (12) month support staff employees shall receive twelve (12) days per year, eleven (11) month support staff employees shall receive eleven (11) days per year and ten (10) month support staff employees shall receive ten (10) days per year.

  • Actively Employed – means the employee has been at work and performing assigned duties for at least 80 percent of the work days over the previous 12 months.

  • Regularly employed means, with respect to an officer or employee of a person requesting or receiving a Federal contract, an officer or employee who is employed by such person for at least 130 working days within 1 year immediately preceding the date of the submission that initiates agency consideration of such person for receipt of such contract. An officer or employee who is employed by such person for less than 130 working days within 1 year immediately preceding the date of the submission that initiates agency consideration of such person shall be considered to be regularly employed as soon as he or she is employed by such person for 130 working days.

  • Hourly employee means an employee who is compensated on an hourly basis for each hour of work performed, including time worked beyond 40 hours in a workweek.

  • Self-employed INDIVIDUAL Means an individual who has Earned Income for the taxable year from the trade or business for which the Plan is established; also, an individual who would have had Earned Income but for the fact that the trade or business had no net profits for the taxable year.

  • Non-Key Employee means any Employee who is not a Key Employee.
