Staff aide definition

Staff aide means an individual who assists the provider or equally qualified substitute in the care of children at a family child care home. A staff aide must never be allowed to supervise a child(ren) alone. The primary provider, applicant 2, equally qualified provider, or qualified substitute provider must always be present at all times when the staff aide is providing care for a child(ren).
