Sleep time definition

Sleep time means time an employee may sleep, which is compensable as follows. Where an employee's shift is 24 hours or longer, up to 8 hours of sleeping time may be excluded from overtime compensation, if:
Sleep time means time employees may sleep, which may or may not have to be paid, as Rule 1.9.3 details.
Sleep time means time employees may sleep, which may or may require pay, Rule 1.9.3 details.

Examples of Sleep time in a sentence

  • Sleep time of up to eight hours but not less than five hours within each duty day shall be excluded from compensable time.

  • Sleep time, in most cases, will start at the beginning of the shift unless the call in period extends to 7:00 A.M. In this scenario, sleep time will be at the end of the shift unless mutually agreeable to another arrangement.

  • Sleep time rules will apply as per contract "Rest Periods After Call-Ins and Long Hours." Rest periods will be taken on Monday or the next scheduled work day immediately following the weekend.

  • Sleep time applies to travel time related to the overtime; to all overtime not just call-out; and to all shifts not just day shift.

  • Sleep time of up to eight (8) hours shall be offered to employees required to take on call.

  • Sleep time is to be provided during each twenty- four (24) hour tour of duty.

  • Class claimants will be entitled to receive payment based on the following formula: o Members of the Meal and Lodging and/or Sleep time subclasses, (hereinafter the “Live-In” subclasses) will be paid based on the following formula: Est.

  • Sleep time is paid at time and one half hours for up to 8 hours within a 24 hour period.

  • Sleep time not taken at the discretion of the employee on the duty day scheduled is not transferable to any subsequent duty day.

  • Sleep time is scheduled at the beginning or at a mutually agreed upon time during the employee’s regular shift.

Related to Sleep time

  • Central Clock Time or "CCT" means Central Daylight Time when Daylight Savings Time is in effect and Central Standard Time when Daylight Savings Time is not in effect.

  • Scan time means the period of time between the beginning and end of x-ray transmission data accumulation for a single scan.

  • Travel Time is the time an Interpreter uses to commute to and from an Appointment. Travel time, if more than one (1) hour each way, is added to the total time of the initial Appointment request. See “Payment for Services, Travel Reimbursement” in Exhibit C – Bid Price for additional information.

  • Near Real Time means that Qwest's OSS electronically receives a transaction from CLEC, automatically processes that transaction, returns the response to that transaction to CLEC in an automatic event driven manner (without manual intervention) via the interface for the OSS function in question. Except for the time it takes to send and receive the transaction between Qwest's and CLEC's OSS application, the processing time for Qwest's representatives should be the same as the processing time for CLEC's representatives. Current benchmarks using TCIF 98-006 averages between two (2) and four (4) seconds for the connection and an average transaction transmittal. The specific agreed metrics for Near Real Time transaction processing will be contained in the Performance Indicator Definitions (PIDs), where applicable. "Network Element" is a facility or equipment used in the provision of Telecommunications Service. It also includes features, functions, and capabilities that are provided by means of such facility or equipment, including subscriber numbers, databases, signaling systems, and information sufficient for Billing and collection or used in the transmission, routing, or other provision of a Telecommunications Service.
