Self-Latching definition

Self-Latching means a mechanical device or latch installed at the top and on the inside of the pool gate and which is engaged each time the gate is secured to its closed position, which will not allow the gate to be re-opened by pushing or pulling and which will ensure the pool enclosure gate remains closed until unlatched by either lifting or turning the device itself, directly or by key.
