RIPUC definition

RIPUC means the Rhode Island Public Utilities Commission, or its successor.
RIPUC means the State of Rhode Island Public Utilities Commission or its successors. “Term” shall have the meaning set forth in Section 3 herein.

  • Service from National Grid to individual customers taking Standard Offer Service as of the Commencement Date shall begin on the customer’s meter reading date following notification/determination that a customer will be commencing Standard Offer Service or such other date designated by National Grid consistent with National Grid’s Tariff for Off Cycle Meter Read for Switch of Supplier R.I.P.U.C.   • Terminations may include, but not be limited to, (i) a customer’s taking competitive service from a competitive supplier, (ii) disconnection of service by National Grid in accordance with regulations and procedures approved by the RIPUC, or (iii) closing of a customer’s account.

  • National Grid, in consultation with or at the request of the RIPUC or Division of Public Utilities and Carriers, reserves the right to issue additional instructions or requests for additional information, to extend the due date, to modify any provision in this RFP or any appendix thereto and to withdraw this RFP.

  • A late payment charge shall accrue on non-residential bills after 25 days in accordance with regulations of the RIPUC and RIDPUC.

  • DCHG = the sum of all retail delivery service per kWh charges applicable to the Customer’s retail delivery service rate class per RIPUC No. 2095, Summary of Retail Delivery Rates, as may be amended from time to time.

  • TC = the Transmission Charge per RIPUC No. 2095, Summary of Retail Delivery Rates, as may be amended from time to time.

  • The Company shall maintain the accuracy of all metering equipment installed pursuant hereto by regular testing and calibration in comparison to recognized standards and in accordance with RIPUC and RIDPUC regulations.

  • MPUC shall have the meaning set forth in Section 1.1 hereof.

  • CPUC means the California Public Utilities Commission.

  • PUC means any state regulatory agency or body that exercises jurisdiction over the rates or services or the ownership, construction or operation of any network facility or long distance telecommunications systems or over Persons who own, construct or operate a network facility or long distance telecommunications systems, in each case by reason of the nature or type of the business subject to regulation and not pursuant to laws and regulations of general applicability to Persons conducting business in such state.

  • MPSC means the Michigan Public Service Commission.

  • FERC means the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

  • Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) means the Government Agency responsible for oversight of public procurement.

  • FCC means the Federal Communications Commission.

  • Competent Authority and ‘Appellate Authority’ shall mean the following:

  • competent authorities means the competent authorities of the Member States as identified on the websites listed in Annex II;

  • Public utilities means those utilities defined in sections 4905.02, 4905.03, 4907.02, and 4907.03 of the Revised Code; in the case of a foreign corporation, it means those utilities defined as public utilities by the laws of its domicile; and in the case of any other foreign issuer, it means those utilities defined as public utilities by the laws of the situs of its principal place of business. The term always includes railroads whether or not they are so defined as public utilities.

  • Docket means the docket in the Chapter 11 Cases maintained by the Clerk.

  • Gas public utility means a public utility, as that term is defined

  • organ of state means an organ of state as defined in section 239 of the Constitution;

  • FCC Applications means those applications and requests for waivers required to be filed with the FCC to obtain the approvals and waivers of the FCC pursuant to the Communications Act and FCC Rules necessary to consummate the transactions contemplated by this Agreement.

  • State public body means any city, town, incorporated village, county, metropolitan district, or other subdivision or public body of the state.

  • Antitrust Authority means the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice or the United States Federal Trade Commission.

  • Antitrust Law means the Xxxxxxx Act, as amended, the Xxxxxxx Act, as amended, the HSR Act, the Federal Trade Commission Act, as amended, Foreign Antitrust Laws and all other Laws that are designed or intended to prohibit, restrict or regulate actions having the purpose or effect of monopolization or restraint of trade or lessening of competition through merger or acquisition.

  • L/C Application means an application and agreement for the issuance or amendment of a Letter of Credit in the form from time to time in use by the L/C Issuer.

  • Governmental Entities has the meaning ascribed to it in the Purchase Agreement.

  • Specified public utility means an electrical corporation, gas corporation, or telephone corporation, as those terms are defined in Section 54-2-1.

  • Ruling means a private letter ruling (including any supplemental ruling) issued by the IRS in connection with the Transactions, whether granted prior to, on or after the date hereof.

  • Governmental Order means any order, writ, judgment, injunction, decree, stipulation, determination or award entered by or with any Governmental Authority.

  • national competent authority means one or more entities designated by a Member State and having the necessary powers and allocated responsibilities for performing the tasks related to certification, oversight and enforcement in accordance with this Regulation and with the delegated and implementing acts adopted on the basis thereof, and with Regulation (EC) No 549/2004.

  • Local governmental entity means a county, municipality, school district, junior college district, or other political subdivision of this state or a local government corporation, board, commission, district, or authority to which a member is appointed by the commissioners court of a county, the mayor of a municipality, or the governing body of a municipality. The term does not include an association, corporation, or organization of governmental entities organized to provide to its members education, assistance, products, or services or to represent its members before the legislative, administrative, or judicial branches of the state or federal government.

  • Governmental Entity means any nation or government, any state, province or other political subdivision thereof, any entity exercising executive, legislative, judicial, regulatory or administrative functions of or pertaining to government, including any court, arbitrator (public or private) or other body or administrative, regulatory or quasi-judicial authority, agency, department, board, commission or instrumentality of any federal, state, local or foreign jurisdiction.

  • Antitrust Authorities means the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice, the United States Federal Trade Commission or the antitrust or competition Law authorities of any other jurisdiction (whether United States, foreign or multinational).
