Restricted object means a person or entity who is (1) listed on, owned or controlled by a person listed on, or acting on behalf of a person listed on, any Sanctions Lists; (2) located in, a permanent resident of, or incorporated under the laws of a country or territory that is the target of country-wide or territory-wide Sanctions; or (3) otherwise a target of Sanctions who is prohibited by law from engaging in trade, business, or other activities. "Sanctions" means any economic sanctions, laws, and/or regulations or restrictive measures formulated, administered, or enforced by the United States Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the US Department of State, the United Nations Security Council, the European Union, and other competent governmental institutions and/or departments (collectively, the "Sanctions Authorities").
