Reattainment area definition

Reattainment area means an area that is designated as nonattainment and has three consecutive years of monitoring data that shows the area is meeting the ambient air quality standard for the regulated pollutant for which the area was designated a nonattainment area, but a formal redesignation by EPA has not yet been approved.
