Proactive notification definition

Proactive notification means a notification by the board, generated based on factors determined by the board and issued to a specific prescribing practitioner or pharmacist, indicating that a patient may be practitioner shopping or pharmacy shopping or at risk of abusing or misusing a controlled substance.
