Number/Gender definition

Number/Gender means the singular includes the plural, the plural includes the singular, and the masculine includes the feminine, when consistent with these Rules.
Number/Gender. Unless the context shall otherwise require words importing the singular number shall include the plural number and vice versa and words importing persons shall include corporations.

  • Transgender person means a person whose gender does not match with the gender assigned to that person at birth and includes trans-man or trans-woman (whether or not such person has undergone Sex Reassignment Surgery or hormone therapy or laser therapy or such other therapy), person with intersex variations, genderqueer and person having such socio-cultural identities as kinner, hijra, aravani and jogta.

  • Gender means actual or perceived sex and shall include a person’s gender identity or expression.

  • Passive RFID tag means a tag that reflects energy from the reader/interrogator or that receives and temporarily stores a small amount of energy from the reader/interrogator signal in order to generate the tag response. The only acceptable tags are EPC Class 1 passive RFID tags that meet the EPCglobal\TM\ Class 1 Generation 2 standard.

  • Gender identity or expression means a person's gender-related identity, appearance or behavior, whether or not that gender-related identity, appearance or behavior is different from that traditionally associated with the person's physiology or assigned sex at birth, which gender-related identity can be shown by providing evidence including, but not limited to, medical history, care or treatment of the gender-related identity, consistent and uniform assertion of the gender-related identity or any other evidence that the gender-related identity is sincerely held, part of a person's core identity or not being asserted for an improper purpose.

  • Gender identity means a person's concept of self that may be different than their birth-assigned gender and related physical characteristics, societal attitudes and expectations.
