Medical practitioner / Physician definition

Medical practitioner / Physician means a person other than the insured person, family or close relative who is qualified by degree in medicine and legally authorized to practice medicine, render medical and surgical services.
Medical practitioner / Physician means a person who is qualified and licensed to practice western medicine and who, in rendering such treatment, is practicing within the scope of his licensing and training in the geographical area of practice, but excluding a doctor, physician or surgeon who is the Assured Member or Eligible Member.

  • medical practitioner means a person as defined in section 3(1) of the Health Insurance Act 1973.

  • Specialist medical practitioner means a specialist as defined in section 3 of the Health Insurance Act 1973.

  • Licensed Medical Practitioner means a person who is licensed, certified, and/or registered, in accordance with applicable Federal, State, local, or foreign laws and regulations, to prescribe controlled substances and other drugs.

  • Qualified Medical Practitioner means a medical practitioner who possesses any recognised medical qualification as defined in clause (i) of section 2 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and who is enrolled on a Indian Medical Register as defined in clause (e) and on a State Medical Register as defined in clause (l) of the said section;

  • general medical practitioner means a general practitioner as defined in section 3 of the Health Insurance Act 1973.
