Specialist medical practitioner definition

Specialist medical practitioner means a specialist as defined in section 3 of the Health Insurance Act 1973.
Specialist medical practitioner means a medical practitioner appointed as such who holds a higher qualification or a senior qualification appropriate to the speciality in which he is employed.
Specialist medical practitioner means a medical practitioner (as defined) who is registered under the provisions of the Medical Act 1959 and who holds a specialist qualification accepted by National Specialist Qualifications Advisory Committee of Australia (NSQAC).
