Live miles shall be defined as those miles actually transporting the district-designated student(s) from the pick-up location to school and back via the most efficient route possible. Pursuant to the terms of RFB 5771, the live mile rate includes all costs associated with the provision of services, including, but no limited to: gasoline, compensation to drivers, overhead and maintenance. Contractor shall be compensated at the rate of $0.50 for “deadhead miles” (portion of the trip without passengers) are not to be included, and will not be compensated unless the Deadhead miles exceeds 10 miles in length. Final invoices must be marked as such.

  • Train Mile means, in relation to a train, or a portion of a train, a mile travelled by that train, or that portion of a train, on the Network;
