ISDN30 definition

ISDN30 has the same meaning as detailed in the Purchase Order;
ISDN30. – shall mean Integrated Services digital network and provide 8 – 30 independent channels (lines).
ISDN30 means the Primary Rate Interface which is carried over an E1 circuit (2048 kbit/s). The E1 has 30 bearer channels of 64 kbit/s and one data channel of 64 kbit/s as well as timing and alarm channels of 64 kbit/s.

  • ISDN refers to a digital circuit switched network service. Basic Rate ISDN (BRI) provides for channelized (two (2) bearer and one (1) data) end- to-end digital connectivity for the transmission of voice or data on either or both bearer channels and packet data on the data channel.
