Inorganic Refuse definition

Inorganic Refuse means any solid Refuse not able to be collected by normal Refuse collection services, but does not include Prohibited Refuse unless specifically notified by Council.

  • Stockpile means material, including, but not limited to, surface overburden, rock, or lean ore, that in the process of mining and beneficiation or treatment has been removed from the earth and stored on the surface. Stockpile does not include materials that are being treated in the production of metallic products and the metallic product that has been produced by that operation.

  • Total organic carbon or “TOC” means total organic carbon in mg/L measured using heat, oxygen, ultraviolet irradi- ation, chemical oxidants or combinations of these oxidants that convert organic carbon to carbon dioxide, rounded to 2 significant figures.

  • Contaminate means the addition of sediment, any other pollutant or waste, or any illicit or prohibited discharge.

  • Threatened species means any species which is likely to become an endangered species within the foreseeable future throughout all or a significant portion of its range.
