Independent Practitioner definition

Independent Practitioner means a health care professional, other than a Physician or a Dentist, who holds a doctorate degree, who has been licensed or certified by his/her respective licensing or certifying agencies and who is not required to provide service under the direct supervision of a Supervising Physician;
Independent Practitioner means any professional, appropriately licensed or certified as an alcohol and drug counselor through the State of Oklahoma, pursuant to state law, and certified by ODMHSAS to conduct ADSAC assessments who does so through the format of a private practice.

More Definitions of Independent Practitioner

Independent Practitioner means a type of Allied Health Professional who is permitted by law and by the Hospital to provide patient care services without direction or supervision, within the scope of his or her license or certification and consistent with the clinical privileges granted. See Appendix A to the Policy on Allied Health Professionals.
