Independent Practitioner definition

Independent Practitioner means a health care professional, other than a Physician or a Dentist, who holds a doctorate degree, who has been licensed or certified by his/her respective licensing or certifying agencies and who is not required to provide service under the direct supervision of a Supervising Physician;
Independent Practitioner means any professional, appropriately licensed or certified as an alcohol and drug counselor through the State of Oklahoma, pursuant to state law, and certified by ODMHSAS to conduct ADSAC assessments who does so through the format of a private practice.

More Definitions of Independent Practitioner

Independent Practitioner means a contractor who is a sole proprietor, a corporation, a limited liability company, or a partnership consisting of no more than two (2) persons, which does not use employees or non-employees to provide direct services.
Independent Practitioner means a physician or other practitioner who performs services that are covered by the Kentucky Workers' Compensation Medical Fee Schedule for Physi- cians, incorporated by reference in 803 KAR 25:089, on a contract basis and who is not a regular employee of the hospital.
