Imece definition

Imece in Turkish means the work is done voluntarily/compulsively/jointly in a village or village community. According to the tradition of imece if it is decided that any problems of the village should be remedied, each household there has to meet the labour force openness. If it is about the money collection, it is called release (“salıverme”). If the decision to collect money for a topic is taken, it must make a financial contribution at the rate of each household.
