HEIW definition

HEIW means Health Education and Improvement Wales, the Special Health Authority established by article 2 of the Health Education and Improvement Wales (Establishment and Constitution) Order 2017, which must exercise its functions in relation to the planning, commissioning, delivery and quality assurance of education and training for persons engaged in the provision of health services in Wales and which, for the purposes of this Part, is responsible for the arrangement and provision of a suitable learning environment for dentists performing primary dental services to enable dentists to meet the requirements and standards of the General Dental Council and Welsh Government;
HEIW. (“AaGIC”) means Health Education and Improvement Wales established by the Health Education and Improvement Wales (Establishment and Constitution) Order 2017(3);

  • HEIW commissions education programmes from HEIs based on needs identified through workforce planning and development activities.

  • HEIW education contract specifications include the provision of a minimum of 4 weeks of Placement jointly with other student healthcare professionals.

  • A variation proposed by the Parties will not take effect unless HEIW has issued express prior written approval to the Parties.

  • Required revision and updates: When the previous Agreements were implemented, HEIW committed to ensuring that they would be continuously monitored and revised, being responsive to the changing landscape of medical education in the UK and would reflect strategic and operational changes in line with a commitment to keeping the Agreement up to date and fit for purpose.

  • Health Board IMTP submissions in the Spring of each year will inform the HEIW Education and Training Plan for the following year.

  • Tabarru ” means donation for the purpose of solidarity and cooperation among the Takaful Participants and to be used to help all Takaful Participants in times of misfortune. In the context of the Company, Tabarru’ will be allocated into the Participants’ Risk Fund.
