FIRST WARNING. Should you have any unauthorised absences of three consecutive sessions or more in any week you can expect a first warning. If you miss classes, your academic performance will be negatively impacted. A written warning will be digitally delivered to you from the Head of Academics team. SECOND WARNING: The next time you have an unauthorised absence of three or more sessions in any week you can expect a second warning. By this time all students who have taken out a student loan, living cost and allowance will have it frozen and it will remain frozen until you have attended class 100% for one week or caught up on all outstanding work.

FIRST WARNING or "Second Warning" letters is limited to the question of whether or not the absence and/or discrepancy have been accurately recorded on the attendance record. Attendance records or dependability discrepancies to which no objection has been indicated in writing by the Flight Attendant within 30 days of distribution of the JXHAF record will be considered to be accurate and not subject to grievance as to the occurrence of the absence or discrepancy.

More Definitions of FIRST WARNING

FIRST WARNING. When giving a first warning, management shall inform the employee of the misconduct and clarify expectations including the expected timeline for improvement. Management will follow up with an email that states the conversation was a First Warning, and a copy of that email will be recorded in the employee’s personnel file. The Guild will be forwarded a copy of this email within 24 hours. ● Second Warning: If after a reasonable amount of time to demonstrate improvement following a First Warning, the conduct described in the First Warning continues, or if a related problem or related deficiency arises, management will inform the employee and present the employee with a Second Warning. A Second Warning is designed to ensure the employee is fully aware of the seriousness of the misconduct and/or performance problem, the consequences if the problem is not corrected, and expected timeline for improvement. A record of the Second Warning shall be kept in the employee's personnel file, and a copy will be forwarded to the Guild within 24 hours.
FIRST WARNING has the meaning given to it in Clause 39.3 (Persistent Breach).
