Extra Runs definition

Extra Runs. Hours beyond a bus driver's basic daily route. In addition to the definition contained in Section 5.10(a)(3) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, "extra work" shall include "special" noon runs and unscheduled "O.T." runs.
Extra Runs. Extra runs are defined as any transportation runs other than regularly assigned runs 47 driven by a regular driver on a seniority basis, or a substitute driver if no regular driver is 1 available. Employees driving such runs shall be paid the regular rate of pay for the duration of 4 subject to the overtime provisions herein. These runs may include but are not limited to activity 5 runs or shuttles etc.
Extra Runs. The Transportation Dispatcher and designated union representative will meet each week to review trip board postings and discuss any concerns prior to posting on the trip board. The District shall assign extra and special runs to regular transportation department drivers wishing to take these runs. Drivers wishing to be considered for extra driving assignments shall sign a list once each semester. Drivers returning from a leave of absence after the list is established may sign up upon their return to work. Trips will be assigned to drivers on this list on the basis of seniority, provided such trips do not require the District to pay overtime, except at the discretion of the transportation supervisor. When drivers listed are not available to drive trips, other available drivers or substitute drivers may be assigned extra trips.

  • Extra Runs that may be split are: van run, ECSE (driver and aide), Head Start (driver and aide), noon runs, which include but not limited to kindergarten, and ECSE van run.
