Extra Board definition

Extra Board. - means the roster or list of all operators who by virtue of length of service, or by choice, do not have a regularly assigned run. Part-time operators shall not be considered extra-board operators.
Extra Board means the procedure by which open runs or work assignments are made.
Extra Board is the procedure by which extra Bus Drivers are assigned to fill open regularly scheduled runs for any cause or work assignment other than regular runs.

  • The Extra Board shall be posted by 1:00 p.m. for the following work day.

  • If SFMTA has filled all full-time shift vacancies from the Full-Time Extra Board, SFMTA may assign free Extra Board to perform special runs.

Extra Board. WORK: In the distribution of daily 23 open work, the Company agrees that all open work will be made available to “Extra 24 Board Operators” first. No “Regular Operators” will be pulled from their regular “Run” 25 nor will any “Regular Operator” or “Extra Board Operator” who has volunteered to work 26 their off-day be assigned open or special assignment work until all scheduled “Extra 27 Board Operators” who are normally scheduled to work have been utilized.
Extra Board. ROTATION: On the first effective day of a new 24 “General Bid”, operators who have bid the “Extra Board” will be assigned to the “Extra 25 Board” in Classification seniority order. Eight (8) hour “Straight Runs” in most pay time order 19 4. Eight (8) hour “Split Runs” in most pay time order 21 b. SECOND: If the number of assignments listed in number 22 one (1) above, exceeds the number of “Extra Board 23 Operators” for that day, then and only then, the dispatcher 24 will attempt to fit the remaining pieces with the assignments 25 originally listed. If an open piece, or a piece of a Split “Run” 26 can be worked in combination with one of the assignments 27 listed originally, then that piece of work will be combined 28 with the one which fits and placed in its most pay time 29 order.
