Evaluation Area definition

Evaluation Area means an area within the Contract Area encompassing the geographical extent of a Discovery subject to an Evaluation work program and corresponding budget in accordance with Article 5.
Evaluation Area means either the entire Field if Contractor takes over all ▇▇▇▇▇ in the area or the square area 142.25 m North, East, South and West centred on each selected Evaluation Well.

  • All operations and activities undertaken by THE CONTRACTOR in an Evaluation Area under Clause 7 below in order to evaluate the Discovery, demarcate the geometry of the reservoir(s) in the Evaluation Area and determine, amongst other things, the viability of extracting the Hydrocarbons in economically exploitable quantities and qualities and the impact of commercial Exploitation on the environment and social situation.

  • In the event that a portion of the Technical Evaluation Area extends to areas comprised within the System of Natural National Parks or other reserved, excluded or restricted zones, geographically delimited by the corresponding authority, or when the Technical Evaluation Area extends to zones with the same characteristics set forth before, THE EVALUATOR agrees to abide by the conditions imposed by the corresponding authorities regarding such areas.

Evaluation Area. The portion of the Contracted Area where THE CONTRACTOR made a Discovery and where it has decided to carry out an Evaluation Program to determine its commerciality according to Clause 14.
