Emergency Recall definition

Emergency Recall is defined as a return to work on an otherwise off-duty day during a declared emergency (Federal, State [i.e., OES] or Local Mayor, Council Member, City Manager, Fire Chief or his/her designee): a. by staffing an additional engine company, truck company, rescue unit, or a combination of the units listed (beyond normal on-duty staffing as defined under Subsection I-14 - Work Schedule); or b. for the purpose of assignment to replace on-duty personnel assigned to respond to such emergencies.
Emergency Recall shall be defined as a transmittal on the specific request of the Public Safety Director or his duty appointed subordinate to a fire fighter were in the firefighters asked returned to duty to assist the department in handling alarm.
Emergency Recall shall be defined as a transmittal on the specific request of the Fire Chief or their designee to an employee wherein an employee is ordered to return to duty to assist the department in an emergency situation or event. Employees shall be compensated at a minimum of three (3) hours of pay at 1-1/2 times the employee’s prevailing rate of pay.

Examples of Emergency Recall in a sentence

  • The City agrees to pay employees at the rate of time and one- half for time worked at Suppression hourly rate on Emergency Recall.

  • Notwithstanding the foregoing, the average hourly base salary rate for purposes of computing compensation provided by this Agreement (including but not limited to Special Duty Pay, Emergency Recall Pay, Emergency Overtime, Standby Compensation, Court Overtime, Paramedic Unit Overtime, Etc.) shall be calculated on the basis of a 53 hour work week.

  • Emergency Recall Compensation should only be used on rare occasions.

  • Employees who are paid Voluntary Extra Shift Compensation for a specific shift shall not be entitled to additional On-Call, Standby Duty, or Emergency Recall Compensation for said shift.

  • Employees who have pre-approved leave scheduled for the date that overtime is needed shall be in-eligible for voluntary overtime or drafting with the exception of the implementation of the Emergency Recall Plan (ERP).

  • An employee need not be assigned to on-call or standby duty to be entitled to receive Emergency Recall Compensation.

  • An Employee must be paid an allowance specified below per hour when required to be available for immediate recall to duty: The allowance paid in clause 146.2(a) is in addition to the Employee’s ordinary hourly rate of pay and any overtime payments under clause 36, section I of this Agreement (Overtime) for the hours work during the Emergency Recall.

  • Notwithstanding the foregoing, the average hourly base salary rate for purposes of computing compensation provided by this Agreement (including but not limited to Special Duty Pay, Emergency Recall Pay, Emergency Overtime, Standby Compensation, Court Overtime, Paramedic Unit Overtime, etc.) shall be calculated on the basis of a 49.8 hour average work week.

  • Following a period of Emergency Recall the Employee will be released from duty until the completion of an eight hour break in accordance with clause 36.12, Section I of this Agreement (Rest period after overtime).

  • Emergency Recall - Assignments made voluntarily or involuntarily due to an Emergency Incident within the fire department's areas of influence, requiring additional staffing.


More Definitions of Emergency Recall
